BIM Modeler - Electrical

The BIM Technician works closely with the Pre-Construction Department, project managers, and field staff to ensure model content meets expectations and timelines. For the right candidate, this position could be a stepping stone for growth and development in the PRICE ELECTRIC pre-construction department. 

What You’ll Do:

• Model and coordinate electrical layouts and design per contract documents.
• Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
• Print drawing sets for professional teams and participates in discipline reviews.
• Produce installation and shop drawings.
• Ensure LOD meets contract requirements.
• Check work for accuracy before next-level review.
• Self-schedules tasks to meet deliverables and maintains a high attention to detail.
• Lead modeling efforts on projects working with support modelers to complete deliverables. 

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• Skill in interpreting 2D plans, diagrams and blueprints electronically or hard copy 
• Produce appropriate working design documents from verbal and general written direction.
• Understanding of 3-D coordination with other trades
• Take verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, working design documents. 
• Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.  
• Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. 
• Oral and written communication skills as required for the position. 
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.  
• Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others. 
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Procore, and Bluebeam

What You Bring to Us:

• Associate degree preferred in computerized drafting field. 
• Three years of MEP construction experience preferred. 
• Minimum 2 years experience with installation of electrical raceway and components.
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
