What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead position at Priddy Chimney Sweeps?
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for ensuring the Priddy’s warehouse is appropriately stocked and organized, optimizing inventory levels and carrying costs, as well as manufacturing and ordering lead times. The role will strike a balance between avoiding work delays due to missing materials and minimizing the Company’s inventory investment.
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for helping Priddy further enhance its warehouse processes and procedures.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
Material and tool preparation
- Review aggregated liner demand on a daily basis and ensure needed SKUs are prepared
- Ensure in collaboration with the scheduling team that all materials, including liners, hardware and equipment, are available and ready for field team prior to fleet departure
- Assist technicians with gathering necessary gear and materials required for day's scheduled tasks
Warehouse management
- Ensure warehouse footprint is optimized for daily operations
- Keep warehouse well organized and clean
- Enforce warehouse stocking and SKU distribution processes
- Support the deployment and refinement of Priddy’s warehouse management system, including development of appropriate efficiency metrics
- Ensure warehouse safety
- Proactively monitor inventory levels, continuously balancing field demand, inventory stocking costs, stockout avoidance, and restocking lead times to optimize inventory levels. Scope covers all warehouse items
- Place stock and replenishment orders with partners
- Receive incoming orders and deliveries, as well as manage returns
- Run and maintain liner manufacturing machine
- Ensure compliance with UL listing, maintaining required documentation
- Train at least two employees to produce liners
- Prepare job materials “kits” for upcoming projects, minimizing need for staff to pull items from stock
- Create and manage a tool cabinet, allowing Priddy to monitor tool inventory, employee checkouts, and tool replacement / purchase need
- Pick up or deliver job materials to project sites when required
- Ensure warehouse and stock security
Fleet Management
- Ensure that fleet is consistently maintained, leveraging proactive maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with drivers, Priddy management, and partner mechanics.
- Capture all fleet records in Priddy’s maintenance database
- Determine fleet replacement strategy in collaboration with Priddy ownership
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three years’ warehouse experience
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and processes; proficient with warehouse procedures and policies
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, as well as Android mobile device usage
- Bilingual English / Spanish language skills preferred
- GED or equivalent required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
