What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accessioner I position at PRIDE Health?
Pride Health is seeking candidates for an Accessioner opportunity in Southfield, MI. This is a 3-month assignment.
Schedule: (2nd Shift) (3 days/week) with hours from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm (every other weekend rotation).
Pay rate: $15-19/hr (Pay rate depends on experience, expertise and education)
Responsibilities:
- Prepares laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing.
- Unpacks specimens from branches or ports and routes specimens by type to various staging areas.
- Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separate serum, and blood smears.
- Perform data entry of test requisition information.
- Aliquots sample for departments.
- Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document problem specimens.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years of experience in lab or data entry position.
- Covid vaccination required.
