Job Title: Special Packaging/Packer- 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 6:30AM-2:30PM)

ABOUT THE POSITION: The fundamental reason this position exists is to perform functions necessary to operate special packaging equipment to provide top quality finished products to customers. These customers could be in the form of internal resources or direct customer orders. This position may also shift into other positions as needed according to customer demand by resource.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate packaging equipment to meet customer demand and production goals
Goals per 8 hour shift: clam filler: combos = 110/hour/person, 30 count = 162/hour/person, wm = 105/hour/person; hayssen or scale: combos = 75/hour/person, 30 count = 124/hour/person, wm = 65/hour/person
Examples of equipment used: clam filler, hayssen bagger, tee loader, counting scale, automatic and hand-held tape machines, pallet jack
- Properly record production/order fulfillment in our operating database
- Communicate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to maintain equipment efficiencies
- Uphold established quality standards for tees
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Work safely upholding our company PPE and Safety requirements (Ex. Safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes where needed, gloves, labeling secondary containers, etc.…) Report safety concerns to management, including any guarding that has become compromised.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to effectively manage time and resources in an organized manner
- Ability to read and understand requirements for customer and internal workorders
- Must have reliable transportation
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to understand basic math skills

- The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the Manufacturing building.
- Needs to have the ability to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Needs to be able to stand/move about their work area for entire shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works on the production floor area. The noise level is usually high and will require PPE (safety glasses and hearing protection) in all zones.
- Works in high-temperature areas at different times of the year
- Works on cement floors with padding
- Moving parts on machinery
