Client in Kings County is seeking a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising all personnel and equipment in the raw processing departments, roasting and packaging lines under the direction of the senior supervisor and / or production manager.
The operational responsibilities are to be performed in an efficient and safe manner while meeting all quality parameters during the course of the shift.
Ensures product in all departments of production meets specifications.
Qualifications :
Understands grades of all products.
Strong communication / interpersonal skills
Knowledge of safety standards and have a safety conscious attitude
Knowledge of GMPs and Food Safety
Good problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Math skills to easily calculate ratios / blending percentages.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Food safety practices.
Reporting relationships :
Reports directly to Senior Production Manager or Production Manager
Direct reports include roasting operators, sorting department personnel, raw warehouse forklift drivers and packaging personnel.
Works directly with Quality Control and other Production Supervisors.
Working Conditions :
All work, except when performing administrative office work, is performed in ambient temperature and weather conditions.
Lifting, climbing, bending, and reaching required to scope or perform work.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and work extra or flexible hours as needed.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Per Year
