Metal Inspector

Bethlehem, PA

Monday to Friday

7:00 am to 3:30 pm

$20 - $25 per hour

A growing, Bethlehem metal machine shop is looking for additional skilled people to join their team

Qualifications of a Metal Inspector

  • 3 years experience in metal inspections / quality
  • Perform first run, floor and final inspections according to manufacturing specifications
  • Program, use and maintain CMM (coordinate measuring machine such as Hexagon arm or Romer)
  • Proficient at reading blueprints and job specifications
  • Problem solving skills to keep machines at highest efficiency levels

Duties of a Metal Inspector

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Inspect and calibrate machinery
  • Maintain all records
  • Understanding of mechanical drawing, dimentialnng and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Use of Mie Trak Software
  • Basic use of Microsoft Word and Excel and Email
