Pries Enterprises is a family owned business in the heart of Independence, IA. Around since 1976, Pries is looking to add a controller to help plan and navigate our rapidly growing company. With over 200 employees and located right off of highway 20 and 150, Pries is a great opportunity to grow and add value to an ever changing aluminum market. Provide comprehensive financial information by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data. Assist to help meet customer needs and achieve company goals. Assess current company processes and provide financial advice and guidance. Work well with others, detail oriented, accept additional responsibility, use good judgement when making decisions, multi-task, organize and plan work by priority. Is reliable and motivated. Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal and maintains a positive attitude.

Education and/or Experience: BA or BS (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field and five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager

- Oversee financial aspect of the business
- Provide financial reports on business functions and operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls, guidelines and procedures
- Achieve and advised on budgeting goals and status
- Help develop and support short and long term financial strategies.
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
- Complete month end financial assessments
- Establish (in coordination with the president) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Comply with and enforce all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department, as well as assess immediate corrective actions
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
