Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Analyst works with key business stakeholders to support and manage packaged business application solutions with special emphasis on Famous Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) and IBM Cognos Analytics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply project management principles and techniques, such as the organization and management of a project, the development of timetables, the identification of critical paths and the breakdown of a project into individual tasks.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases
  • Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
  • Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
  • Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements
  • Manage the set-up and configuration of systems
  • Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process
  • Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms
  • Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs
  • Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database maintenance and administration
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Excellent analytical skills

Skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong customer service
  • Experience in Famous or similar ERP
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Knowledge of ETL generally and SSIS specifically
  • Knowledge of basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell or NodeJS)
  • Ability to document standard operating procedures and create product requirement documentation
  • Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks and projects
  • Evaluate and test emerging technologies
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies as needed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3 years’ experience in relevant ERP/database systems
  • Structural Query Language (SQL) experience preferred

  • English or Spanish

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a typical office environment — prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. However, the employee is expected to travel to the different locations (within 50 miles radius distance from primary location) to interact with employees in multiple processes (e.g., onboarding, training, etc.).

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays; this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.
