Our Gas & Power Trading client is looking for a Direct Hire IT Project Manager for their Trading Business in Houston, TX (Downtown/Hybrid). You will be responsible for planning and managing IT projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Report to a Steering Group and ensure the governance model for the project
- Report project status, including scope, schedule and budget
- Maintain a project risk, issue and decision log
- Contribute to the Program and Project Management Office (PMO) function for Gas & Power Trading IT
- Assist in resource planning and allocation
- Work closely with third party suppliers within the project where relevant and ensure that the supplier contract is executed appropriately
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a Project Management role
- Experience and business knowledge from a trading, energy management, or retail energy company
- Experience in IT/Technology/Software Project Management Methodologies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, experience of working with IT suppliers and contracts, and good business and commercial acumen
- Formal training and certifications in Project Management: PMP or Six sigma preferred
- Knowledge of agile methodologies preferred
- Fluent in English; competency in French preferred
