SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Aircraft Paint Strip Technician performs paint strip operations on aircraft. This includes, but not limited to: cleaning, masking, chemical stripping, rinsing, de-masking, deoxidizing and chemical conversation coating applications on aircraft. The Aircraft Paint Strip Technician will comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to his own actions and conduct.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares aircraft surfaces following process to remove old paint from aircraft surfaces.
• Follow Quality Management System Procedures.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Follows all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and personal protection equipment.
• Maintain a professional attitude and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work well unsupervised, as well as with peers.
• Possess great attention to detail and pride in work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Must maintain personal appearance according to company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned, but no covered herein.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Availability to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to stay late or come in early to meet the demands of the operation schedule and workloads.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification (if required).
• Ability to include close vision and depth perception, ability to visually focus and see colors.
• Ability to use tools, equipment and materials in the aircraft detailing process.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp with hands, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl or maintain balance.
• Ability to reach to heights up to 25 feet, climb ladders, stairs and scissor lift equipment.
• Ability to lift, and or move up to 40 pounds.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions and environments.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School education or GED, Associate Degree preferred.
• Six months experience minimum is required, one year experience preferred.
