The Senior Behavioral Health (SBH) Registered Nurse (RN) are responsible for planning/providing support, medical nursing care to people who have a range of mental health issues. These nurses support people with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, personality disorders and eating disorders.
This is a Registered Nurse (RN) Senior Behavioral Health Unit
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Treating/educating patients about mental and medical conditions
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
- Run therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients
- Perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation
- Educate the patients and family members on how to manage the illness and/or injury
Qualifications:
- Current and valid State RN License from Missouri (MO)
- Completed a Nursing program from an accredited university
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
- The desire to be a psychiatric nurse
