What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Leader position at Prime Healthcare?
Overview
The Team Leader has both a clinical role and an administrative role providing urgent behavioral healthcare interventions to adults. The preferred candidate has a solid grasp of clinical interventions and is able to work with clients who have a more complex presentation. Team Leader assists Manager with overseeing daily operations, especially in Manager's absence, and is able to guide staff in decision-making when needed. Team Leader has his/her supervision certification and provides supervision as needed. The Team Leader is responsible for some of the monthly and quarterly reports required by DMHAS and Saint Clare's. The Team Leader must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, will promote positive working relations with internal and external systems, and will provide community presentations as needed.
Responsibilities
Supervises activities of Enhanced Outpatient Team and Early Intervention Support Services Team. Provides assessment, consultation and counseling to persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Networks with community resources and provides linkage and referral. Understands and utilizes elements of evidenced-based practices in mental health treatment. Educates staff regarding integrated treatment approach. Provides care to adult consumers.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1 ) 3 years previous counseling or related experience working with persons with co-occurring disorders. Credentialed as a Licensed Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (LCADC). Previous supervisory experience.
2 ) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or if MSW, must be either a Licensed Social worker (LSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). LCSW preferred. Proof of educational instruction needed.
3 ) Supervisory Certificate per Licensing Standards
4 ) Valid Drivers License legally required.
