A few key responsibilities:
- Responsible for own safety and the safety of others around. Reviews and understand our Safety Manual.
- Reviews work set-ups for safety risks
- Understands Safety Rules and Regulations and follows them. Works safely at all times
- Understands safe use of Machining Equipment
- Uses correct PPE while performing any work
- Understands Prime Machines Quality Standards and our Customer's expectations and works to achieve expectations whenever possible.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and or models
- Read, Understand and interpret Work Order Requirements
- Input the product design into modeling software and compose CNC code using mastercam
- Validate models prior to composing CNC code
- Validate all CNC codes to ensure they are working correctly
- Specify cutting tools
- Produce Set up sheets
- Adjusting machine setting to the optimal cutting requirement
- Troubleshooting issues during the machining process
- Works with Project Managers or Quality Manager regarding Non-conformancesRequired skills we are hoping to find:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Math Skills
- Ability to solve problems
- Previous work experience as a CNC programmer
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Extensive experience with computer modeling software. Mastercam is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and adhere to all deadlines
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Most have strong interpersonal skills
- Good listening, writing, and oral communication skills are essential.
