Summary :
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts, and repairing appliances.
Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.
The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize the usability of electricity in all facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Follow all safe workplace practices, comply with all applicable safety and health rules, and actively participate in safety programs.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings and documentation and initiate revisions when applicable.
- Follow daily work activities schedule to meet maintenance objectives. Estimate materials and time needed to complete activities to ensure completion of tasks.
- Install, maintain, and repair secondary electrical systems, such as but not limited to, general
- wiring, lighting, and communication systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution equipment systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot rotating equipment, motor drives, and associated control
- systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot standby power systems and associated equipment.
- Maintain and operate test and measuring instruments and equipment to determine the functional
- operation of electronic and electrical systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation devices and associated systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as established by the maintenance program.
- Maintain documentation to record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Communicate with other departments to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Trains and provides subject matter expertise to electricians.
- Responsible for upholding the principles of the Company’s food safety certification program.
- Responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.

Competencies:
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

- Commercial experience, construction experience, or industrial experience
Required Experiences:
- 3 plus years of relevant electrical experience. - Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, is preferred. - Knowledge of basic instrumentation and calibration, is preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrician.
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
Education:
- Preferred High School or GED equivalent and/or work experience
- Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school) in Industrial Electrical Technology or similar field; or completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician; or equivalent work
