What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Team Lead position at Prime Time Nutrition?
Responsibility:
Primary responsible for all activities within the warehouse including but not limited to: managing a group of loaders in preparing outbound loads for company drivers, loading outbound loads (Company Drivers) and unloading inbound loads from all deliveries (including our own drivers). Assist in managing shrinkage at the warehouse by properly rotating all inventories, handling transfers/damages from the stores. Communicate with corporate office in providing paperwork documenting the transferring and receiving of product into and out of the warehouse.
Job Description:
Preparing Outbound loads for Company Drivers
· Manage loaders in preparing loads
· Must be done based on the departure times of each driver.
· Removal of items still in trailers from previous day
§ Inventory Returns/Damages
· Paperwork given to Warehouse Manager
· Upon loading a trailer, ensure that it has been properly loaded, broom sweep the inside for trash and debris to minimize cross contamination.
· Ensure that the loaders have loaded drivers according to the departure schedule and based on the delivery stops sequence according to the trip chart.
· Ensure that the loaders have finished prepping all refrigerated/freezer items and make sure they are included with other pallets per store.
· Validate all pallets for all stores are loaded in the trailers, indicating the number of pallets on the bill of lading.
Receiving of inbound loads from deliveries
· Inbound loads include deliveries made by outside suppliers as well as loads being picked up by our drivers.
· Prior to the arrival of any in-bound loads, he will be responsible for making sure the moving/relocating all current inventory out of the floor space to make room for the new load
o This will ensure that inventory is rotated with expiration dates moving inventory “first in – first out”.
· Every new pallet must be marked with the calendar date the item is received on front side and at least one side of each pallet.
o This will ensure that inventory with an older date will be pulled before product with an earlier date.
· After arranging the new inventory in its place, he is to relocate the old product in front, so a natural rotation can happen.
o This must occur with every single item coming into the building. Eliminating expired inventory due to inventory not being rotated.
AWG - Processing
· Responsible for validating the weekly Master AWG Listing
o Notifying corporate of any variances
o Responsible for the reallocation of variances and adjustments to stores receiving
· Work directly with District Manager in the allocation of special deliveries from AWG (ie Water, etc)
· Ensure each load is built correctly by designated employee working AWG for the week
Receiving of Bill of Ladings – Suppliers Paperwork
· The following information must be noted on every single bill of lading from product received in the warehouse
o Date
o Driver Time In
o Driver Time Out
o Expiration date of product
o Total number of pallets received
o Collect the delivery driver signature
o Initial or sign the BOL when complete
· Must note the number of pallets of every item and cross reference to the PO provided by corporate
· Notations must be made that everything matches and notations when something does not match (This must be done before the delivery driver leaves so that he can take back to his company discrepancies that were noted by us)
· Must report back to the corporate office – Cathy Lozano the paperwork with his notations for review and approval.
Scanning/Faxing Bill of Ladings – Suppliers Paperwork
· Must scan and fax paperwork to the corporate office.
· After the Inbound paperwork has been approved, the paperwork is to be scanned to Accounting as soon as possible.
· Waiting until the end of the day is not acceptable, it should be done through-out the day.
· A follow up call to Cathy (black phone #973) in Accounting once the paperwork as been scanned will be expected.
Pulling Loads
· Based on the daily workload, this position can continue to pull store loads to complete his daily workload.
· This is not a “hands off” position, The warehouse team lead will still work alongside warehouse staff and build/pull/unload and load.
Weekly Warehouse Inventory
· Responsible for providing accurate inventory accounts to accounting.
· Responsible for immediate completion of recounts.
· Assist in minimizing inventory variances
Other tasks as needed
· Other tasks as may be assigned or requested by District manager, General Manager or Corporate.
Requirements and competencies:
3 Years of Management experience
5 Years of warehouse experience
Highschool diploma
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
