Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, exceptional attention to detail, and analytical prowess. They will manage inventory across multiple departments, handle purchasing, conduct cost analysis, and ensure accurate billing and invoicing processes. Additionally, the Inventory Specialist will be tasked with maintaining relationships with vendors, monitoring inventory queues, and collaborating closely with various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular audits of inventory items to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Perform cost analysis on potential inventory items to optimize purchasing decisions.
Purchase inventory items tailored to the unique needs of each department.
· Handle accounts payable tasks related to inventory management.
· Prepare and process monthly billing for inventory items in a timely manner.
· Track orders of merchandise, oversee receiving processes, and verify inventory counts.
· Inspect all incoming orders of merchandise for quality assurance.
· Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
· Generate monthly summaries on purchases, damages, shrink, and profitability.
· Thrive in high-pressure situations and collaborate effectively.
· Manage the procurement and tracking of air filters, including setting up A/C audits and automatic replenishment.
· Monitor inventory queues for items needed in the field, record transactions, and maintain accurate documentation.
· Review invoices for accuracy and address discrepancies.
· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and collaborate closely with multiple departments.
· Adapt quickly to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
· Maintain a high stress tolerance and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience with inventory management software is a plus.
· Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
· Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments.
