Pharmacy Technician (Long Term Care)

Looking for a friendly, hardworking and dedicated pharmacy technician to join our team at Primecare Pharmacy in Downtown, Scranton. We are a closed door long term care pharmacy servicing assisted living centers throughout the region.

Hours of operation are:

Monday through Friday: 9am-8pm

Saturday: 9am-1pm

Sunday: 2pm-6pm

*Must be available to work hours including evenings and rotating weekends.

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for:

1. Answering the phone promptly to ensure quality customer service.

2. Performing the entry of prescription information.

3. Accepting customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions.
4. Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.

5. Creating prescription labels and put them on prescription containers where permitted.

6. Appropriately package medication into blister cards and pill vials.

7. Assist with maintaining the pharmacy by keeping it clean and in order.

8. Assist in inventory management processes including: order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

  • Afternoon shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends as needed
