Required Education: BS/BA in related discipline or Accounting, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in a fast-paced work environment.
As a Junior Accountant, reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the day-to-day Accounting Operations.
- Review and post Journal Entries
- Reconcile General Ledger Accounts
- Apply cash received in the bank to open invoices.
- Post vendor invoices received to the AP subledger
- Assist with Month-end Close Process: Process journal entries, reconcile and clear various balance sheet accounts
- Support Internal Audits, External Audits and JSOX process audits
- Take ownership of Primetals Intercompany process. Post partner invoices, print and distribute partner invoices monthly, check, upload and confirm intercompany transactions in TM5. Monthly clearing of netting files
- Posting, checking and trouble shoot daily vendor interface files.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Knowledge, Education and Experience:
Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concept, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
Demonstrates significant knowledge of organizations business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
2-3years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above, Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills specifically Pivot Tables and SAP experience preferred
Positive and professional demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
