We are looking for an experienced prep cook and oyster shucker to join our rapidly growing team. We are a full service, high volume restaurant with 180 waterfront dining seats on the patio, two full service bars (one inside & one outside), 65 seats inside, plus a 20 seat private dining room. We are seeking employees who enjoy the hospitality business and are looking to further their hospitality career. There is lots of room for growth!
Experience with Italian cuisine and high volume cooking is a HUGE PLUS!
As a Line/Prep Cook for our company you will be responsible for producing consistent quality food products through the use of standard recipes. While doing so you will follow all safety, local and state sanitation guidelines.
Essential Functions For Prep/Line Cook:
1. Responsible for production according to recipes/directions
2. Prep stations and shuck oysters/clams
3. Cut and clean a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using a knife and/or cutting machines
4. Produces food for lunch, dinner, brunch and catered events
5. Follows production sheets, portioning and merchandising details as instructed by the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef
6. Follows all recipes and guidelines while meeting production deadlines
7. Ensures consistent quality on all prepared items
8. Tastes all food prepared for station to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality
9. Maintains a clean and organized station and prep area
10. Maintains kitchen equipment
11. Follows proper rotation and storage of goods
12. Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management
13. Team work and time management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
