Position: Executive Director
Qualifications:
Must maintain current Director qualifications required for the State of Colorado.
Must meet Primrose Schools' overall standards.
Must continue to accumulate required hours of training as required by state licensing agency and/or the corporate office.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Must be able to drive or obtain workable transportation in between school locations.
Responsibilities to be required at all schools:
Operations management to include school enrollment, inquiries, staff training, payroll processing (to be turned in to the owner for payment), background checks, and director interface.
Works in tangent with School Directors , reporting directly to Owner.
Makes recommendations for budget, determining school efficiencies and areas where cost savings may be implemented
Responsible for the budget management for payroll, food, curriculum and recurring school expenses.
Responsible for the design and implementation of the schools' annual marketing plans
Assembles monthly reporting obligations to Primrose Schools corporate office
Oversight and computation of staff and director bonus program
Presents a professional appearance and example to staff
May be required to assist in any capacity whenever the need is presented, including opening and/or closing the school.
May be required to conduct tours of the school and enroll children.
Operations Management Responsibilities (All schools):
Responsible for the Inquiry to Enrollment Process and oversight of marketing effort (including advertising coordination, public event coordination, and annual marketing calendar design and implementation)
Attends and present materials at staff meetings, workshops and special events
Oversees budgeting, purchasing and allocating resources and materials
Manages payroll expenses in accordance with school budgets
Oversees new hire interviews, paperwork processing and coordinating with the Director of Curriculum new staff orientation, continual learning program and mentoring program
Participates in and coordinates staff training at training days and staff meetings
Conducts classroom observations and prepares anecdotal notes regarding classroom operations
Learns and trains staff on Primrose policies
Conducts training meetings, prepares in-service training seminars
Conducts weekly "touch base" calls with parents and responds to parent concerns with advice and consent of Owner
Prepares staff observations and makes recommendations to Owner and Directors for staff promotions, pay increases and/or staff discipline
Coordinates accreditation processes and evaluations
Assists with certain marketing tasks, including monthly newsletter preparation and website postings
Helps to coordinate charitable and school events and community programs
Offers every child physical affection, verbal praise, and acceptance while providing clear and consistent expectations for children's behavior, setting firm limits when necessary.
Ensures substitute staff are obtained, assigned, and adequately oriented to maintain the smooth operation of the program
Ensures teachers and aides are trained, equipment is available and used properly, and records are kept on children's progress.
Ensures supplies are adequate and used appropriately; maintenance and cleaning duties are well organized and accomplished daily
Ensures the children enjoy, and parents express satisfaction with, the daily operations and programs of the school
Teaching Duties
Acts as a teacher when necessary.
Upon Employment/Promotion:
Must meet all health and other requirements of applicable local, state, and/or corporate office regulations.
Must meet all requirements for driver's certification, including valid driver's license.
Up-to-date first aid training.
Complete all required company employment and payroll forms.
Have a complete fingerprint and criminal investigation report.
Reporting Relationship:
Directly reports to the Owner. Works in conjunction with the directors on school events, staff training and staff observations.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
