Accounting Manager

If you are interested in an exciting company to help build the Accounting Team, then we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our Client is looking for an experienced corporate accountant to be responsible for auditing accounts and recording the business transactions of our company. In this role, you will prepare annual reports, present monthly financial statements, and provide financial advice based on data analysis to upper management. The ideal candidate should be able to successfully communicate quantitative data to decision-makers and display exceptional knowledge of best financial practices and business acumen. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
· Responsible for preparing and managing annual audits while following financial regulations, law, and policies
· Prepare financial accounts for monthly review
· Create a monthly corporate and divisional budget for the company, as well as monitor expenditures
· Analyze company finances to determine risks and create forecast reports to better support business decision-making
· Develop suggestions to optimize business plans and resolve cost-related issues
· Ensure all tax records are correct and up to date
· Ensure all company accounts are accurately reconciled
· Maintain and update fixed asset record
· Manage company cash flow and bank balances
· Oversee both internal and external company audits
· Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end progress reports
Qualifications (Knowledge & Experience):
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field
· Professional certification such as a CPA preferred, but not required
· 4-7 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry
· Excellent understanding of best financial practices and accounting processes
· Solid knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, BQE Core, and Odoo
· Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
· Experience in risk analysis, as well as budgeting and forecasting
· Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment
· Display exemplary ethical behavior when working with confidential financial documents
· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members
· High attention to detail
