Job Title: Full-Time Front Desk/Receptionist (Orthopedics)
The Full-Time Front Desk/Receptionist at Chicago Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery (CSO) is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients. As the face of our practice, the ideal candidate is outgoing, enthusiastic, and organized. This position involves daily tasks such as patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Essential Tasks and Activities:
Patient Interaction: Greet all patients and handle phone calls with a positive attitude, ensuring excellent customer service.
Administrative Duties: Register patients, schedule appointments electronically, and answer telephones, relaying messages as needed.
Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and payments, verify insurance, and obtain authorizations and referrals.
Data Entry: Obtain, enter, and verify patient demographics while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Problem Solving: Actively engage in problem-solving and efficiently filter calls to other departments as necessary.
Operations Maintenance: Ensure smooth clinic operations by following policies and procedures, reporting necessary changes.
Customer Service Focus: Understand the role as the "face" of the practice, realizing actions directly impact patient satisfaction and overall success.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative, and having a take-charge attitude to handle additional duties and responsibilities.

Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist.
Experience with ECW systems, Microsoft 365 along with Word & Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
