Primway Dental, PLLC is a brand new office associated with a medical clinic. We are the only medical/dental office in Northwest San Antonio! This modern, state-of-the-art dental office is looking for the right candidate to be part of something great. Located in the Alamo Ranch area, come help build this private practice up to be efficient, organized, well-talked about and most of all...fun for both the team and patients.
We are looking for a happy, outgoing, superstar worker that wants to be a part of the unique and special journey of a dental startup. The ideal candidate will have 2-10 years assisting experience with great attention to detail and a fantastic work ethic. The office will be treating patients only Tuesdays and Thursdays to start. As the office gets busier, Wednesdays will eventually be added to your schedule.
We are looking for the applicant to work October 26-December 30th. It is possible for the job to be extended or permanent with the right fit.

Requirements:
- Proficient in taking a full set of diagnostic x-rays
- Current RDA license
- X-ray and CPR Certification
- Graduated from dental assisting school
- Assisting Experience: 2-10 years
- Spanish speaking (preferred but not required)
- Fantastic communication skills
- Eager to learn
- Organized and efficient
- Attention to detail
- Excellent attitude, punctual, dependable and strong work ethic
- Be comfortable with photo being posted on social media (Instagram and Facebook)
- Take initiative with ideas on how to stream-line clinic
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material for procedures
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Send, receive and track lab cases
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Keep the operatory and sterilization rooms clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Be able to order supplies
- Assist with front office tasks if needed
- Assist in charting for hygiene and treatment plans
Skills
- Coronal polishing and sealant placement
- Make good temporaries for crowns and bridges
- Take impressions and pour up models
- Familiar with Open Dental software (preferred but not required)
- Comfortable using handheld device for X-rays (similar to Nomad)
