Music Teacher: Violin / Cello

Violin and Cello teacher needed to start immediately. Start date: March 17 (some flexibility here) days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (some flexibility as well) There will be up to 20 new violin and cello students starting.

Duties:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the individual needs of students

- Teach students how to read sheet music, play various instruments, and understand music theory

- Provide guidance and support to help students improve their technical skills and musicality

- Organize and conduct rehearsals for school performances, recitals, or competitions

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth

- Collaborate with other music teachers and staff to coordinate events and performances

- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression

Requirements:

- Associates degree in Music or related field

- Teaching certificate not required

- Will train, must be proficient at violin or cello.

- Strong knowledge of music theory, sight reading, and ear training

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles

- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for music education

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship, Seasonal

Pay: $24.62 - $31.69 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 32 per week
