Summary/General Job Description/Mission: This position is responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound traffic activities. Further it provides priorities and instructions to team members in the warehouse and redistributes manpower and deemed necessary to ensure internal and external customers are being serviced in a timely and professional manner.Responsibilities Related to the Job: Ensure compliance with all safety rules and use of proper PPEAdhere to company’s purpose, vision and valuesUtilize SAP and communications with surrounding departments to determine progress towards customer orders and generate picks, distribute workloads, verify staged products for accuracy, and generate the final documents for each shipment. Communicate and coordinate with outside carriers and customers the schedules for both inbound and outbound shipmentsPrepares and provides all documentation needed by forwarder: bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, shipper’s Letter of Instructions, and others as requiredGenerates shipping report to identify priority shipmentsContacts carriers for freight quotes as neededInteracts daily with customer service to help coordinate export shipments in advanceOversee the receiving of raw materials and other miscellaneous material, visually inspect for damage, verify count, quality and accuracy and ensure transport of the materials to the designated storage locationMaintains inventory control records for warehouse and ensures the accuracy and completeness of all inventory items and finished goodsResolves discrepancies with vendor regarding actual shipment received vs packing slip/POProcess returns from customers and to vendorsAttends Daily Operations Meetings and weekly Open Orders Meeting.Assist with motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork with the warehouse staff to meet changing requirements Dispose of scrap material when authorizedEnsure that warehouse cleanliness and organization are maintained. Process UPS and FedEx small package shipmentsPerforms other related duties as assigned.Social Responsibilities: Maintain compliance with Company’s Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety other regulationsAct according to the Company’s Purpose, Vision & ValuesMaintain mindset of continuous improvement. Required Qualifications and Knowledge:Associate’s degree in Business or related studyMinimum three (3) years in shipping/warehouse experience required.Proficient knowledge of SAP, inventory management Strong computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.Must be certified with IATA and IMDG to process international dangerous goods shipments within 90 days of hire (training provided)Travel Requirements: NoneCompetencies: Strong leadership and ability to influenceExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong ability to prioritize workload, organize, and multitask while under time constraintsAbility to maintain a friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanor.
