Job Description
Position: Bartender- Marriott
Location: Clearwater, FL
Reports to: Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Food and Beverage Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
K Club Bartenders will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the Tribute Collection Standards.

Essential Functions
- Curate guests’ bar experience by making recommendations
- Knowledge of all beverages to include liquors and wines
- Serves guests in an efficient courteous manner following the proper steps of service
- Knowledge of proper cocktail making, as trained by Karol Management via Marriott standards
- Have necessary tools to run the shift such as pen, corkscrew, any bar tools, etc.
- Ability to pair wines with meals
- Understanding that bar serves full menu and must be prepared as much to server full coursed or shared meals to guests
- Light food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hot
- Knowledge of all menu items to include prep time, preparations, sauces, allergies, and accompaniments
- Collect payment for food and beverages served
- Follow TIPS practices to ensure safe and responsible serving of alcohol per Marriott and hotel procedures
- Be aware of any specials, soups, drinks, and any items that are running low
- Ability to handle station, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experience
- Follow cash handling procedures, and must be able to explain shortages and overages
- Maintain bar area
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment per Marriott safety procedures
- Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests.
Hotel Performance
- Ensure successful performance assisting guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on the GSS according to Marriott
Qualification Standards
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or higher
- Previous hospitality experience required
- Minimum two-year bartending experience in high volume bar or restaurant in greater Tampa Bay area
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads
