What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monitor Tech position at Princeton Community Hospital?

  • Position Summary
      Monitors and maintains the technical monitoring functions of assigned telemetry patients under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to help provide optimal patient care.
  • Qualifications
      Required:
        Formal Education and Certification
        • High School Diploma or equivalent

          • Previous Experience OR Applicant must Complete The Following Upon Hire:

        • Items A thru D Must be completed within 90 days of hire:
          • Completion of Healthstream Training for Monitor Technician
          • Prescribed clinical experience watching monitors under the direct supervision of a RN
          • Successful completion of a written final examination with a grade of 80% or better (accomplished in Healthstream or classroom)
          • Successful demonstration to RN, utilizing a skills checklist, of ability to operate and troubleshoot system, as well as recognize rhythms and abnormalities
      Preferred:
        Formal Education and Certification
        • CPR certification
