As an Associate Actuary you will join a collaborative environment, with the ability to work on multiple projects that drive value for the organization. You will lead initiatives to meet local and corporate actuarial and financial needs This team performs a variety of work including financial modeling and risk management for the life insurance business.
Direct and provide analytical leadership for areas of responsibility including, but not limited to: risk management, financial modeling, or consulting with internal clients. Promote the effective use of the actuarial techniques, tools, and methodologies in decision making. Conduct primary and secondary research related to risk assessment and financial problem solving. Lead or participate on business unit or cross company project teams.-
Lead or participate in business unit or cross company projects as a subject matter expert.
- Provide analytical and research based consultation to achieve cost effective and strategic solutions.

Potential for duties associated with management of staff including, but not limited to: hiring, salary administration, and performance management.. Provide strategic direction and leadership to direct reports on the day to day functions of their jobs.

Perform other job-related or special projects as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, or global equivalent , or Enrolled Actuary plus 4 years actuarial experience required

Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, the Actuarial Standards of Practice promulgated by the Actuarial Standards Board, and the Code of Professional Conduct of the AAA and the SoA is required

Strong Microsoft office and Excel skills preferred

Basic knowledge of business field supported

Must maintain continuing education requirements as specified by the SOA or AAA

Good communication skills and knowledge of MG-ALFA or other actuarial modeling software, spreadsheet and databases or similar PC software packages, or ability to learn, are preferred
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $116000 - $162000 / year Additional Information:
