Responsibilities of the Title Clerk:
- Timely processing of both new and used car deals.
- Direct responsible for verifying the costs for the accounting office, including costs of add-ons, additional equipment and reconditioning.
- Manages the legal transfer of all documents and titles for the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Prepare various tax and title documents, process all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they are to be titles.
- Submits all legal transfer work to appropriate agencies in a timely manner.
- Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information that is required is complete and accurate.
- Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
- Signs over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in full, and prepares a monthly report to management of any funds not collected from wholesalers.
- Processes yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with the Controller.
Qualifications of the Title Clerk:
- 2 years of experience as a Title Clerk
- Previous high volume dealership experience is required
- Knowledgeable of applicable titling regulations and laws required to perform all aspects related to the job.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience working in ADP/CDK a major plus.
- A High School diploma is required.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
