Summary of Position:
Custodian keeps buildings clean. Performs custodial maintenance duties such as picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, making sure the building is secure, cleaning windows, and minor building maintenance and repairs. Dusting walls, windows, bookshelves, equipment like printers, scanners, and all workstations. Wipe down tables, cubicles, appliances.
Responsibilities:
- Take out the trash, rearrange furniture, clean and wipe surfaces as needed
- Sweep and mop floors, as well as vacuum carpets
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of all bathroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, and showers
- Clean mirrors and windows as needed
- Restock necessary items (e.g. soap, paper products)
- Requisition of supplies or equipment needed for cleaning/maintenance as well as break room supplies
- Follow assigned daily / weekly etc. to-do list
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
