We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our team in our manufacturer of gourmet pastas & sauces with a mission to create healthy, 100% natural and convenient foods. Located near. Our products can be found at through retail and club locations nationwide.

Objective: Assist the Production Supervisor in the oversight of production personnel ensuring that production associates are engaged in all phases of production. This may include but is not limited to safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization and cost, training and cross training, and production planning.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision:

· Lead and supervise a team of production workers to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

· Provide guidance, support, and training to crew members to enhance their skills and performance.

· Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

· Train or assist in the training of production personnel in quality, safety, machine operation and production processes.

Production Coordination:

· Coordinate production activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, including manpower and equipment.

· Collaborate with the production planning team to prioritize orders and manage workflow efficiently.

· Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and consistency.

· Track Production KPI which may include downtime, waste, product quality, etc.

Quality Assurance:

· Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet or exceed product specifications.

· Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify and address any potential issues affecting product quality.

· Support Quality team to ensure that food safety and quality systems are followed.

· Ensure and enforce quality programs which include HACCP, SOPs, GMP, CCP, FEFO

· Maintain an audit ready area.

· Understanding and ensure prerequisite programs are adhered to.

Safety Compliance:

· Enforce and promote a safety-first culture within the production team.

· Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to minimize accidents and injuries.

Inventory Management:

· Ensure live scanning is occurring in accordance with inventory management teams.

· Collaborate with the inventory management team to monitor raw material levels and coordinate reordering as needed.

· Oversee proper handling and storage of finished products.

Continuous Improvement:

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

· Work with the production team to implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles.

REQUIREMENTS

TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (AS APPROPRIATE FOR THE POSITION)

· Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, etc.);

· Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time;

· Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk;

· Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment;

· Close vision required for computer usage;

· Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 20 pounds;

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
