Dec-Tam is a top regional abatement and demolition organization that was recently acquired and merged into the Alloy Group. This is an exciting time to join the Alloy Group. We are growing, we are profitable, we are investing in our Company and we have big plans for the future! The Alloy Group was formed in 2018 out of six separate businesses. We are now becoming a full-service national construction, abatement, demolition and engineering consulting powerhouse. We are looking for business leaders to help us grow our new Dec-Tam Business Unit located in North Reading, MA. The incumbent must have hands-on experience estimating projects and operations in the abatement and demolition industry.
Summary
Provides project management, technical support and field oversite for environmental abatement such as asbestos, lead and mold as well as internal and exterior demolition. This role will require extensive travel in the New England area. This individual will be responsible for securing orders from new customers by means of current industry contacts, reviewing industry reports, visiting potential customers, and soliciting by phone and networking, while working together with other Environmental Estimators collaboratively. Typical duties include (1) Developing new business opportunities and securing contracts for Asbestos Abatement & Demolition projects (2) Securing opportunities to quote on customer requirements (3) Attending pre-bid walk-through meetings at customer’s sites (4) Preparing bids in accordance with company procedures (5) Following-up on quotations to customers and (6) Working with Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Constant productive interface with the customer i.e. general contractor or owner
- Prepare and submit project estimates
- Detailed project management (regulatory compliance, jobsite safety, productivity, project personnel, subcontractor coordination, project budget tracking, etc.)
- Process change orders
- Coordination of site logistics
Required Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the abatement and/or demolition industry
- Demonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule and deliverable performance
- Demonstrated experience writing successful proposals, work plans and estimates
- Experience managing project crews
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing experience
- Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Preferred Skills, Education & Requirements
- Proven client relationship skills
- BS degree
