​​​​Our Spa Director at Privai Spa Salon Westpost has an entrepreneurial spirit who is looking to be a part of building the next iconic spa and salon brand. We are looking for a creative and progressive thinker, someone who can be part of executing the vision of providing premium spa and salon services. The role is designed for someone who is more than a manager, but a leader of people and ideas. Previous Spa Director or Start-Up experience is a plus. This individual will have excellent communication skills and will be successful in balancing the needs of the spa, the guests, and the employees. Being comfortable with promoting and marketing our Brand and our professional teams will be essential to your success. Our Spa Director will elevate the guest experience and be able to resolve guest challenges with effective solutions and a bit of imagination. You will need to maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricings, offerings, schedules, specials, and other services provided at the spa. You will set an example to your team with your enthusiasm and professionalism at all times. Look for every opportunity to suggest new and enhanced guest experiences, to encourage positive staff behavior, and to direct the team to success. You will create local marketing opportunities and execute initiatives to build the business. Our Spa Director will play an integral role in providing training guidance, and consistency in high quality service for all staff at the spa.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3-5 years of leading a team, recruiting talent, and customer service skills required, preferably in a spa, fitness, medical, hotel, or restaurant environment.
  • Participated in the development of local marketing events
  • Ability to respond to guest and employee concerns with urgency and professionalism.
  • Ability to make rational business decisions, demonstrate analytical thinking, and acute problem solving.
  • Communicate effectively and interact professionally with the professionals, guests, fellow managers, and teammates.
  • Will have the ability to effectively and consistently develop and coach front line staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for both our professional team and our guests through positive interactions, encouragement and empathetic leadership.
  • Concierge duties, such as: answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, checking guests in/out.
  • Answer any guest’s billing questions, provide reasonable solutions, and resolve disputes.
  • Receive and respond to all guest concerns, comments, or complaints with discretion and urgency and make a record in guest history files.
  • Maintain continuous communication in regards to cleaning and maintenance requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends in the spa industry, with a complete understanding of the latest treatment modalities, product lines, retail, and equipment.
  • Evaluate complex situations and make decisions which result in positive outcomes for the company, the customer and the workforce.
  • Review all upcoming appointments and treatments, making necessary adjustments to maximize business potential
  • Update the entire team with additions or changes to protocols and procedures.
  • Evaluate time keeping and transaction reports to accurately process payroll, correcting any transaction errors on employee payroll reports.
  • Ensure that public and private areas are in impeccable physical condition and well maintained.
  • Provide constructive feedback to staff to promote a positive work environment, conduct disciplinary procedures when necessary, ensuring all paperwork is completed on time and accurately.
  • Attend job fairs and networking events to recruit staff and promote positive brand awareness.
  • Source and execute opportunities for cross promotions with other local businesses.
  • Present and review retail and service performance numbers to the Regional Director on a weekly basis.
  • Review analysis of data pertaining to financial business performance on a weekly basis with the Regional Director.
  • Establish and maintain retail targets as a percentage of revenues in conjunction with Regional Director.
  • Lead the retail store with sales, promotions, and merchandising to generate revenue.
  • Oversee daily front of house operations of the spa facility with emphasis on guest services, sanitation, safety, staffing guidance, and support to ensure maximum operational efficiencies.
  • Review spa occupancy demands and all weekly spa schedules anticipating appropriate staff levels.
  • Assign job tasks to Concierge as suited to their position and ability.
  • Interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate performance of the Concierge team.
  • Interview and set-up trade testing for potential professional candidates
  • Review all incoming groups and VIP’s and communicate to each department.
  • Work with the Regional Spa Director to establish initiatives in regards to human capital, marketing, and sales.
  • Evaluate operations and procedures and present improvements for the Regional Director’s approval.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and place monthly operational, treatment, and retail orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000.00 per year
