What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Caregiver position at Private Family?
Seeking a caregiver for a busy author who lives with a physical disability.
Ideal candidates are friendly, professional, hard working and proactive. Punctuality and reliability are very important and must have own transportation.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: healthcare responsibilities(see below), collecting mail, helping maintain professional correspondence with colleagues, assisting with social media posts, driving to/from appointments and social engagements, running errands, household duties, light cleaning and companionship.
Healthcare Responsibilities:
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as showering, dressing, hygiene, grooming, toileting, exercising.
- Medication administration.
- Other tasks as needed.
Work schedule:
Arrive at the author’s home at 7:45am and depart at 1:00pm on the following days: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Pay is $24 per hour.
The ideal candidate is:
- A non-smoker
- Legal to work in America
- Kind, caring, and gentle
- Responsible and reliable
- Fluent in English
- Has reliable transportation that can be used to transport the author
- Physically capable of transferring author to/from wheelchair and doing range of motion exercises
