Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations on patients, including obtaining medical histories and performing vital signs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions.
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing wounds and removing sutures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
Skills:
- Knowledge of utilization management principles to optimize healthcare resources.
- Ability to accurately assess and interpret vital signs.
- Experience working with and providing age-appropriate care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Competence in airway management techniques
- Understanding of professional standards and ethical guidelines for nursing practice.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
