Caregiver

Overview:
We are seeking up to two compassionate and dedicated private Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to an adult male in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting the individual with his daily activities and promoting his overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Provide private, direct in-home care and support to an adult male with autism and an intellectual disability

- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meals and ensure proper nutrition for individual

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individual under your care
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for individual in your care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Adhere to the individual's rights and ensure his dignity and privacy is respected
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving to appointments or activities
- Monitor and report any changes or concerns
- Assist with navigating safely in the community
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with individual
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for client

Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of care techniques and principles
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures

- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individual in need of care
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions

- Knowledge of behavior management and alternative communication techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with care protocols is beneficial

- Ability to pass background check and successful completion of required trainings

- Possess a valid driver’s license and own vehicle

- Must be non-smoker and non-vaper

Job Type: Part-time up to 20 hours

Pay: $30 per hour or $600 per 24-hour period

Flexible schedule:

• Day or evening shift
• Weekends as needed
• Occasional 24 hour or multi-day shifts
