Seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, personable and dedicated Optometric assistant/receptionist to join a private Optometric office located directly next to Warby Parker. If you love helping people, want to learn new job skills and want to thrive in a great work environment, this role is for you. This is a part time position.

Job Description:

  • Ensure high quality patient care
  • Open and Closing Duties
  • Greeting patients in a friendly, upbeat manner
  • Entering patient data/Insurance verification (minimal)
  • Pre-screening patients for the Doctor
  • Front desk duties including checking patients in and out, taking payment, etc.
  • Ensure equipment’s are properly maintained

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Professional/Outgoing demeanor
  • Punctual/Reliable
  • Technology Skills: Computer, iPad, EMR knowledge preferred
  • Interest in a career in healthcare: Pre-Med, Pre-PA, Pre-Optometry, etc (preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Fairfax, VA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
