General Description:

With the ever growing market of all glass melting and electric boosting systems, KTGSI has an opening for a Project Manager position. The Projects Manager position is responsible for designing, maintaining, implementing, and improving all aspects of current company projects. This position also designs, develops and supervises the installation of refractory, steel, equipment, components, or systems on site.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in glass/ceramic, chemical, mechanical or civil engineering.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred. Alternative qualifications include a minimum 5 years’ experience and Associate’s Degree or graduation from an acceptable technical program.
• AutoCAD experience with version 2010 or later preferred.
• Must have advanced knowledge of refractory or steel design principles.
• Experience in glass plants, melting systems, electric melting and electric boost a plus.

Job Requirements:

• Design glass melting tank systems based on prior designs and/or input from CFD modeling.
• Specify and write up bills of materials and equipment specifications required for the above-mentioned melting systems.
• Supervise design and drafting work with in-house and outside contractors.
• Engineer solutions and systems based on individuals area of expertise.
• Supervise the work of outside contractors on the job site.
• Ability to communicate with client to determine client requirements and identify areas to improve client process and experience.
• Ability to develop scope of work documents, along with engineering/material/construction estimates.

Typical Duties:

• Assumes responsibility for technical accuracy and constructability of finished designs.
• Layout of initial design concept and determine drawing standards and perform detailed comprehensive checking of designs/drawings.
• Use computer aided design/engineering methods to accomplish above duties.
• Designing and specifying melting and glass delivery systems.
• On-site project commissioning.
• Field supervision of installations and subcontractors.

Assistance:

Will report to the President and will provide direct project support to the Project Management Group. The Project Management Group will support the individual project manager in other areas of expertise that the individual does not have.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
