Electrical Technician

Primary Function: Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as extruders, winders, bag and seal machines, AC/DC drives, temperature controllers and sensors, contactors, relays and motor and controllers.

Essential Functions:

· Follow all documented procedures and policies

· Ability to program AC & DC Inverters

· Diagnose and repair motors, contactors, relays, drives and heat control systems

· Communicate directly with Shift Foreman and Management to resolve any safety, quality or machine issues

· Diagnose, program and repair PLC instruments, sensors and automation controls

· Diagnose and repair drives from ½ HP to 1,000 HP

· Diagnose and repair HMI

· Able to read Electrical Schematics

· Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area

· Perform other duties as assigned

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and company memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to all other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of this position the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and listen in a loud environment. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years electrical experience required plus has basic mechanical experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.02 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
