Job Description:
Pro-Tek Field Services, a reputable provider of instrumentation and calibration solutions, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Analyzer Technician to join our team in Midland, TX. As an Analyzer Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of instrumentation, controls, and analyzers for our clients. Your responsibilities will include installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various analytical equipment. You will interact closely with clients, providing expertise to ensure that our products meet and exceed their expectations while strictly adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment, including gas chromatographs, continuous gas analyzers, RVP analyzers, O2 analyzers, H2S analyzers, BTU analyzers, IR analyzers, UV analyzers, and Paramagnetic analyzers.
Conduct installation and maintenance of instrumentation and controls.
Fabricate analyzer systems both in a fabrication setting and at client locations.
Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal staff.
Collaborate with clients' operations, maintenance, planning, environmental health & safety, and engineering departments.
Interface with SCADA, DCS, and radio systems as required.
Gather and report information regarding product or customer issues to management.
Identify new business opportunities and provide technical sales support.
Complete all scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) work orders.
Adhere to all safety rules, company policies, and attend required safety training classes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Some positions may require an associate degree or specialized training in instrumentation or a related field.
Experience:
Strongly preferred: 2 years of experience working with analyzers, especially in the petroleum industry.
Familiarity with various types of analyzers (gas chromatographs, spectrometers, moisture analyzers, etc.)
Knowledge of Endress Hauser Product Line preferred.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing analyzer issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
Ability to work with minimal oversight.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong team player with a high degree of interpersonal skills.
Possession of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
