Forklift Operator

PURPOSE:

• Responsible to carry out daily tasks in compliance with SOPs while contributing to the efficiency of daily duties. Duties include but not limited to:

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Carry out various warehouse and logistics operations duties such as:
• Shipping, receiving, material handling and inventory control tasks in support of the team’s daily activities using powered material handling equipment.
• Primary focus is on material put away, and order picking.
• Ensuring facility is clean and maintained throughout your shift
• Ability to read and understand the company SOPs
• Understanding of all warehouse accounts
• Reporting any problems to your direct supervisor to allow for a safe and healthy work environment
• Ensure the practice of Health and Safety on a daily basis
• Staff will be cross-trained, flexible and able to move around within the team as demands and priorities change.
• Show professionalism everyday towards all departments, staff, carriers, customers, and drivers.
• Attitude is expected to be positive, motivated, and focused always.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• 3 years of warehouse experience
• 3 years of forklift experience
• Relevant experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred
• Must carry a valid drivers license for this position.

Training: DOT HAZMAT, OSHA, HAZWOPER

Certification: Forklift operator and Fall protection

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

LANGUAGE: English

COMPUTER: Microsoft Office Software, WMS, knowledge of RF scanners

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Forklift: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
