ProAmpac is located in Cheektowaga, NY and is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to work Monday through Friday from 7AM to 4PM. Overtime will be required at month-end.

Job Responsibilities:
- Inventory consumable items (rags, tape, cleaning supplies, paper, packing list, tubing, blades, etc..) daily and reorder/replenish supplies as needed.
- Inventory and track usage of supplies used in the various departments throughout the plant (Converting, Press, Lamination, Slitting
- Receive and track inventory and participate in Fiscal Year End Audit as well as monthly inventory.
- Receive, Track and Distribute UPS and FED-EX ground shipments throughout the plant
- Purchase supplies in Inventory Control program, send approved purchase orders to vendors. Write up Capex po requests for managers,
- Update spreadsheet daily / monthly on spending on all Inventory Control program purchases.
- Update Converting spreadsheet for various cartons, Fast-tape B, chipboard, wickets, and washers and Steris label/instruction sheets and Scott’s divider boards, inventory, and ordering.
- Hold the ProAmpac Corporate AMX card for approved purchases.
- Send monthly reports on maintenance spending, cleaning, and office supply spending to respective managers.
- Update Safety Data Sheets into the MSDS ProAmpac program and file approved sheets.
- Update and add new Suppliers and Chemicals to lists on the public drive.
- Receive in and order items in SAP program as well as place orders for cores, cartons, and other production supplies in this SAP program.
- Receive all packaging lists and paperwork from Shipping Dept. and offsite warehouse and distribute paperwork to the respective person.
- Responsible for tracking Purchasing Coordinator orders only.
- Distribute UPS and FED-EX ground shipments throughout the plant.
- Ability to work overtime for month-end inventory is required.
- Previous experience in purchasing or buyer is preferred.
- Experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Good communication and phone skills.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Outlook, Internet (IE and Chrome).
- Must have Intermediate Microsoft Office Excel skills: be able to manipulate spreadsheets, basic formulas and formatting.
- SAP or ERP experience is a plus!
- Proficient with basic math skills, able to work with fractions, decimals, standard and metric dimensions.
- Knowledge of Material and Production Processes is a plus.
- Ability to lift and load weights up to 50 pounds.
