Probi USA, Inc. is a contract manufacturer in the nutritional supplement marketplace, specializing in probiotics. We provide a wide variety of strains as single ingredients, or in custom formulations in bulk, capsules, tablets and fully finished bottled products for private labels and brands.

We are currently in the need of a full time Sanitation lead in our Lafayette, CO location. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 6AM to 2:30PM with some flexibility to meet the demands of the department.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position works under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor to provide cleaning, sanitizing, janitorial and pest control monitoring in support of operations.

KEY JOB DUTIES

• Responsible for covering sanitation technician duties when needed.
• Responsible for executing training program and training technicians in assistance of the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Assist in completing weekly and monthly sanitation tasks when appropriate. Assists in solving minor equipment issues that do not require maintenance.
• Oversee the technician’s daily tasks and provides support where needed in assistance to the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Coaches and mentor's technicians to develop strengths and weaknesses to achieve their maximum potential.
• Responsible for communicating clear and concise instructions to technicians.
• Responsible for placing PO’s and maintaining inventory in assistance of the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Uses the Redzone system to communicate, search, enact continuous improvement actions, and lead huddles.
• Helps technicians develop timelines and identify priorities in assistance of the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Helps the Sanitation Supervisor identify team goals.
• Responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with all other team members in the organization and with contractors and clients outside the organization.
• Responsible for covering the Sanitation Supervisor in instance of absence at events such as meetings and audits.
• Ability to adapt to quick changes of schedule when necessary.
• Periodically performs facility walk-throughs, writes work orders, senses, and actions related to cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control issues.
• Contact vendors and outside services, such as uniforms, as needed in absence of the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Leads by example, following safety, GMP standards and company policies.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS

• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
• Must be able to pass background check.
• Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
• Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
• Maintain good attendance.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Two or more years Lead or supervisory experience.
• Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
