Contract Occupational Therapist
At ProCare, our mission is to encourage each child to confidently and proudly achieve his or her full potential. We areworking with a school district that is looking to hire a contract occupational therapist to join their team for the 2023-2024 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that support the development and achievement of students' educational goals.
Caseload Details:
- Parttime: 2 days a week onsite
- Indirect services and meetings will be done remotely
- Early childhood caseload
- Ages: 0-3 years old
Responsibilities:
- Screens and/or evaluates students who have been referred to occupational therapy in the areas of fine motor performance, coordination, postural stability, perceptual motor performance, sensory processing and self-regulation and activities of daily living/functional skills (such as written productions and classroom tool use) with emphasis on present level of performance as related to academic functioning.
- Consults and collaborates with teachers and other specialists regarding appropriate motor activities, self-help skills, sensory needs, adaptations, and special equipment or assistive devices as necessary.
- Maintains accurate records of students evaluated and served in occupational therapy program; including assessment results, IEP progress and other documentation or reports as needed.
- Participates in designated team meetings, individual education plan conferences and periodic reviews involving assessment, programming and reevaluation decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Indiana Occupational Therapist license
- CPR certification.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
