What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Assembler Lead - Mentor position at Process Technology?
JOB DESCRIPTION: Supervises the Tying Department. Ensures bills of material are accurate before distributing orders throughout the department. Answers all pertinent questions or directs questions to management. Ensure adequate staffing is available to meet company objectives. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to Production Manager
- In-depth knowledge of departmental procedures and processes
- Direct departmental operations including supervision of departmental personnel
- Develop team environment through effective coaching, training, and regular performance feedback
- Maintain detailed attendance records
- Ensure departmental processes are followed to ensure ISO compliance
- Determine ways to improve departmental processes to maximize efficiency
- Communicate goals and objectives
- Cross train
- Schedule work order flow to ensure delivery dates are met
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and apply disciplinary action as necessary
- Communicate with all levels of the organization
- Maintain clean, neat, safe, and orderly work areas
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
- Daily communication and coordination with team, management, and other departments
- Assure the integrity of department inventory
- Act as the primary link between management and team members
- Perform QC samplings and associated paperwork
- Recommend measure(s) or method(s) to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions, process, and use of equipment or staff.
- Direct work assignments in accordance with the production schedule and organize activities to meet production objectives
- Ensure compliance with environmental, productivity, quality and health and safety standards
- Confer with engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel to exchange technical information
- Order necessary equipment or materials necessary to meet objectives
- At work regularly and promptly
- Attend and participate in Department Lead Meetings
- Attend and participate in all required training
- Conduct employee evaluations
- Conduct departmental ISO process flow training
- Other essential duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook software programs.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of the department function to meet company objectives.
- Must have superior analytical ability and possess problem solving skills in all areas of departmental operations.
