Purchasing Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are looking for a purchasing coordinator to spearhead our purchasing and inventory system company wide. The purchasing coordinator must be very detail-oriented with a drive to succeed. We are looking for an experienced individual who knows the ins and outs of transactional purchasing for a growing company. We are looking for someone who can ensure efficient operational flow when purchasing goods and services for the company. In this role you will work very closely with suppliers, management, and clinic personnel therefore you must be an exceptional communicator. The best candidate for this position has strong people skills, extremely organized, with an ability to work well with people.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain weekly logs and issue weekly purchase orders
- Creates transactional purchase orders for approved purchases
- Review and accurately enter purchase orders.
- Set up new vendors
- Provide support for all issues relating to vendors
- Submits Purchase Orders with vendors to order merchandise, receives merchandise, adds to inventory
- Ensure payment is received by vendors
- Resolve any issues with the orders
- Prepare reports monthly
- Follow purchasing policies and procedures
- Act as point of contact for vendors
- Resolve pricing issues/discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience
- College degree (preferred)
