Material Flow Engineer
Valley City, ND - Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Valley City, ND. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of limited scope and responsibility; work plans and decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Required to manage the material flow of parts coming into and leaving the building as finished goods.
- Oversee the shipping, the flow of the parts, storage of parts, tracking of parts etc.
- Look at solutions to drive down financial costs by reducing waste.
Requirements:
- Requires an understanding of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Candidates will provide shop floor support, be responsible for material flow presentation to the production lines and will support continues improvement.
- Understanding of lean line design (Kitting, Material Presentation, 7 Wastes, etc.)
- Understanding Excel data manipulation.
- Complete data analysis and presentation of the data.
- Maintain data files for multiple units.
- 3D Modeling Experience
- Understanding of Ergonomics software.
Preferred Skills:
- Material Flow experience 1 - 3 years
- 3D Modeling Experience (Creo, Solid Works, etc.)
- Education - Bachelors in an Engineering discipline and/or relevant work experience
