System Verification Test System Design Engineer
Burr Ridge, Illinois - Full-time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our customer's team at their facility. As a member of their team, the selected candidate will be responsible for designing test system which provides vehicle simulation to validate embedded software in electronic controllers, displays, telematics and other devices in off-highway, agricultural and construction equipment. This individual will report into a CNHi systems engineering & verification team with overall system test responsibility.

Duties:
- System requirement analysis with reviews from vehicle core electronics team
- Develop test strategies for system test. (Type of test, type of setup, traceability)
- Plan as per PI or project milestones, Designs, develops test cases, and maintains the automated (Hardware-In-the-Loop) test system and bench setup for agricultural and construction equipment.
- Performs system test execution for each software release cadence with full verification loops of electronic controllers, and create, maintain the test reports.
- Interfaces with the electronic component team to gather hardware specifications of electronic controllers, electronic instrument clusters, displays, telematics and other devices on agricultural and construction equipment.
- Interfaces with system, software, and Functional Safety teams to gather requirements of electronic controllers for telematics, displays, auto guidance and other devices
- Development of robust, flexible, and re-usable test scripting for automated testing.
- Create test reports, defects and communicate test results to stakeholders.
- Ensure traceability of test cases, test results, and defects to requirements.
- Maintain the HIL configuration and bench setup
- Supports application and system engineering teams with preparation of reports
- Support Design of Experiments and Design Validation testing
- Identify and implement new procedures for process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in embedded software development or automated test system development
- Experience in HIL equipment such as DSPACE or National Instruments
- Basic knowledge of electronic controller design, including software architecture, electrical circuits, I/O circuitry for electronic control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and correspond with global network of teams, colleagues and interfaces in which English is the primary language.
- Self-motivated and strong commitment in daily activities.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- OEM experience or Tier 1 experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with programming languages; Python, Perl, C, C
- Design experience with MATLAB/Simulink/State Flow
- Basic knowledge and experience on Vector tools, likes CANalyzer/CANOe, for CAN BUS protocol
- Ability to handle multiple complex tasks in parallel.
- ISTQB foundation level certification
