PCSI is looking for a QHSE Inspector to support our facilities maintenance team on Fort Knox! The QHSE Inspector performs daily inspections and risk assessments of work areas for environmental hazards such as mold, asbestos, lead paint, etc. This position is responsible for maintaining reports on inspection data and the status of hazard abatement work completed by subcontractors. The QHSE Inspector also assists the Health Safety Environment Manager with general safety duties, including safety meetings, training, and mishap investigations.
We are looking for someone very organized with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

What You'll Do as QHSE Inspector:
- Perform field evaluations to monitor environmental task orders performed by subcontractors.
- Visually inspect to determine the contaminants and sources of pollution in the environment, and report to base environmental. As the work areas are completed, conduct visual clearance inspections to verify that the work is complete and collect clearance air samples prior to re- occupancy of the space.
- Work within duties and requirements of the Environmental Management Plan.
- Perform management, inspections, risk assessments, and provide guidance to subcontractors who perform work involving mold, asbestos, and lead based.
- Follow the environmental plan and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Generate documents, Surveys/Inspections, Risk Assessments, Abatement, and Ongoing Monitoring reports and summaries of results/findings of all environmental hazards/issues.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behavior
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Support PCSI and Fort Knox safety initiative.
- Perform Mishap investigations and post-accident drug screening.
- Generate and perform monthly environmental reports.
- Perform respiratory fit testing for compliance with PCSI’s Respiratory Protection Program, once authorized.
- Perform job walks, and track subcontractor environmental task orders, PWO’s, DMO’s, etc.
- Inspect satellite accumulation areas for generated universal waste, in accordance with contract requirements.
- Conduct safety training, safety and environmental inspections, and assist with safety meetings.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- High school graduate and/or GED equivalent require
- Two (2) years related experience in facilities maintenance or environmental compliance is required.
- Current environmental certifications (i.e. Indoor Air Quality, HAZWOPER, Lead Based Paint, Mold, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention) are a plus.
- Knowledge of government facility maintenance contracts is a
- Knowledge of Universal Waste Management, and EPA guidelines is a plus.
- Requires proficiency with Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to obtain applicable category certifications required by the contract as assigned by management. Certifications may include: Hazardous Waste/Hazardous Material Management, Polychlorinated Biphenyl Management, Environmental Management, Clean Air Regulations, Mold and Indoor Air Quality, Clean Water Regulations, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Solid Waste Regulations, Asbestos Management, Lead Based Paint Management, Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST), and Backflow Prevention.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Air monitoring measuring tools.
- Possess strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of environmental concerns as it relates to testing, surveys, and controls.
- Knowledge of safety data sheets (SDS) and hazard communications program.
- Ability to work within a team or independently as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
- Ability to stand/walk/crawl on various uneven surfaces, climb ladders, stairs, and possibly work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
