Your Position:

  • We are hiring 1 grading and drainage technician. Pay will be reflected on revenant experience and will vary between $20.00 - $30.00 an hour. Compensation rates are based on actual proficient skills learned and projections may vary above or below.
  • At PM&L we follow an apprenticeship like program with a compensation guide that assigns every task with a dollar amount and test out. We train and equip our team members in house and provide opportunities for leadership and continued personal development.
  • Experience is required. This is an mid level to high experience position with specialization in using grading attachments on mini skid steer and full skid steer operations.
  • Currently we have no max salary, and a division leader position can exceed 6 figures with multiple years of tenure.

Daily Responsibilities (Grading):

  • Utilize a mini or full size skid steer with either a cultivator, harley-rake, rock hound, bucket etc. to establish a fine grade on a home or commercial space in preparation for lawn installation.
  • Utilize a leveling laser system to achieve proper grade and flow away from targets and towards drainage systems
  • Apply seed, fertilizer and straw following industry standard practices.

Daily Responsibilities (Drainage):

  • Utilize a trenching attachment for the mini skid steer to install 1 1/2 inch SCH. 40 PVC Pipe, or 4 inch drain tile
  • Hand digging and finishing work
  • Create and implement drainage solutions for customer problems to eliminate standing water or areas of flooding

Requirements:

  • Must be:
  • A US citizen
  • Able to pass a regular drug screening
  • Have a valid Indiana drivers license and be insured to drive commercially
  • Able to lift, pull or push 50 LBS frequently

This position offers competitive pay based on experience. Candidates are expected to have at least 200-1000 hours of "butt in the seat" experience using grading equipment, candidates that have no experience but are "quick learners" are encouraged to not apply unless they have 500 hours of relevant experience using heavy equipment and can see grade and level.
